'Humped up' by Rachel Schlueter

Sold
6"x8" oil on panel.
It seems no matter what cats are doing they're poised, this classic cat jesture is one of my favorites to paint.

VIEW FROM THE SLOUGH, TOMALES BAY By Kathy O'Leary

This is an 8 X 10 oil painting on canvas panel. It is a scene from one of the many sloughs that surround Tomales Bay located on the central coast of California between Mendocino and San Francisco. Its a long, lovely bay, historically mostly a fishing and dairy region. Because it remains sparsely populated it is a photographer's and painter's paradise. SOLD

THE OLD OAK, Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

This is an 8 X 10 oil painting on canvas covered panel. I love the oaks scattered throughout the hills and valleys of California's vast rural ranch lands and contiguous open spaces. This old tree reigning over a ranch along the Pacheco Pass had such wonderful twists and turns to its branches while reflecting the warm light of the late afternoon. SOLD

"PARIS BRIDGE, SUNSET" by Linda Mitchell

8" x 10" oil on panel
email: linda703@sbcglobal.net to inquire

This painting features the Alexander III bridge, at sunset. I took the photo at the end of a long day of painting on the bridge itself. My painting partner and I were heading back to our apartment when I looked back and saw the bridge framed by these trees, lit up by the sunset.

"Moulin Rouge" by Linda Mitchell

8" x 10" oil on artist's panel
email to inquire: linda703@sbcglobal.net
I stayed in Paris for a month in 2006 with a fellow painter. We wandered the streets and museums and painted en plein air nearly every day. I also took hundreds of photographs, which are still providing me with inspiration. This painting was from one of those photos, taken in front of the Moulin Rouge at night.

BACK ROAD, MARIN HILLS by Kathy O'Leary

This 8 X 16 canvas on panel was done in oil, on location (en plein air) last fall in the foothills of Marin County, California. Outside of the urban areas of Marin (on the north-west side of the San Francisco Bay), is the vast acreage of ranch lands and open space. Its beautiful and has a true 'California' look to the landscape. SOLD

"Fishing Boat with Red Floats, Eureka" by Linda Mitchell SOLD

5" x 7"  oil on artist's panel  SOLD
I painted this one from a photo I took from the deck of  Madaket, a local ferry boat that cruises Humboldt Bay. It was one of those gorgeous, warm Indian Summer days that we sometimes get on the north coast, a perfect day for a harbor cruise. This boat with the red floats and flags was docked at the foot of Commercial Street.

HAZY AFTERNOON IN THE CALIFORNIA HILLS, Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

This 8 X 10 oil painting is one of the many scenes I saw while painting and photographing Northern California's rural ranch lands last September. It's always a beautiful time of year in the oak strewn hills, and the afternoon haze that sometimes occurs always gives the scene a warm misty glow. SOLD

AFTERNOON ON THE SACANDAGA RIVER, Original Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

This is an 8 X 10 oil painting done on location (en plein air) at the Sacadanga River, in the Adirondaks, of upstate New York. While camping along the river last July 4th, I wanted to catch the wonderful colors of the red/brown rocks strewn through the very blue, rushing Sacandaga. Upstate New York is as beautiful as they say, and this was one of my few chances to capture some of it on canvas. SOLD

"Boat Dock, Eureka" by Linda Mitchell SOLD

8" X 10" oil on artist's panel  SOLD
I painted this one recently at the boat dock next to the Wharfinger in Eureka, which is a few blocks from my house. It was one of those typical Humboldt County days, where the clouds take over the sky and then vanish moments later, making it both exhilarating and frustrating to paint.

"Old Faithful Inn, Yellowstone National Park" by Linda Mitchell SOLD

8" x 10"  oil on artist's panel  SOLD
This painting features the interior of the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park. Bill and I stayed there last October, during our Wyoming vacation.

PINTO 6x8 oil on canvasboard- I saw this paint horse in great morning light a couple of years ago in Wyoming. I loved the color temperature contrast and enjoyed capturing it in paint.

SEA STACKS, Original Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

This is an 8 X 10 painting on Canvas covered panel. I painted it yesterday (4/10) on location (en plein air) just south of the small Pacific Coast town of Trinidad, Northern California. It was fun trying to capture the amazing colors I saw, of the sand and surf with the constantly changing light. SOLD

AFTERNOON LIGHT IN THE VINEYARD, Original Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

This is a 6 X 8 oil painting on canvas covered panel. It’s a scene from a vineyard called Eagle Point Ranch, in the hills above Ukiah, in Northern California. The rich beauty of the afternoon light, the shadows, and the colorful vines caught my attention. I’ve painted and photographed many vineyards through out California’s wine country, but this vineyard is for me the most beautiful of them all. Many of my vineyard paintings are from photographs I’ve taken there.
SOLD

SPRING IN THE VINEYARD, Original Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

This is an oil painting on a 6X8 canvas covered panel. It’s a scene from a recent trip through the wine country in Northern California. Mustard in full bloom, oaks, lavender as they begin their leaf out, vines still dormant. I love the vineyards, and paint and photograph them wherever I find them. This is a particularly beautiful time because of the brilliant wild flowers, and the natural complementary color scheme. SOLD

"Mendocino Coast" by Linda Mitchell SOLD

SOLD
This spot is in Westport, which is north of Mendocino, on California's northern coast. The painting was done from life (en plein air) last summer, during a painting trip with a group of women artists. I was standing on a finger of a cliff, with a 180ยบ view of the Pacific Ocean, but the most interesting thing to me were the rocks right below me, with the waves swirling and crashing around them. The painting is 8 x 10 inches and is oil on artist's panel.

"Old Faithful Geyser, Yellowstone" by Linda Mitchell SOLD

SOLD
This is an original oil painting on an artist's panel, featuring Old Faithful Geyser, in Yellowstone National Park. Bill and I spent one night at the Old Faithful Inn last autumn, before heading on to Cody, Wyoming and the Grand Tetons. The painting measures 7.5 by 11 inches.
