A Fond Farewell

The New Year brings changes for me and my career.

As of Jan. 1, I am now a member of the Executive Board of the Society of Animal Artists. I have a show coming up in January and February at Plaza Design in McKinleyville, Calif., near my home. I've been invited to submit work to a prestigious equine art show being held by the American Academy of Equine Art in conjunction with the World Equestrian Games (so you know what I'll be doing between now and the Feb. 15 deadline). And I'll be at the Marin Art Festival in June. Somewhere in all of this (July and August, at the moment) I plan to go back to Mongolia for 4-6 weeks, partly to continue my work with a women's felt crafts cooperative.

And, with regret, I am having to drop out of Lost Coast Daily Painters. I want to thank all the other members for their enthusiasm and work in making this blog a reality. I'll still be posting small paintings on eBay. You can find them there, on my blog or my Facebook fan page.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who has purchased my paintings, sometimes more than one! I really appreciate your support and kind comments.

If you would like to receive my occasional newsletter, please email me at sfox at foxstudio dot biz.

All the best to everyone in 2010!

  2. Congratulations Susan. You work hard at your art and its great to see you moving in the direction you want to go with it. Your work helps all who see it remain sensitive to the beauty and importance of nature particularly the animals of our world. There will be more great things to come for you I'm sure.
Thanks for helping us get our blog started so successfully. Looking forward to seeing your artwork here occasionally, and getting updates on your career.
The best to you in 2010. Kathy
