thanks judy, i must have painted this scene 3 or 4 times and couldnt get it to work ... this was the simple version... but no one has to know , right?
I frequently paint the same scene - and "see" more specifically each time. It's hard to get students to understand the value in this - they just want to be on to the next!

This watercolor was inspired by the circular shape in the trees and the repeated form in the rocks . on heavy watercolor paper . 11" x 14.5" unframed.
I wish I painted that!
