Bad Ass Gladiolas

Bad Ass Gladiolas by Theresa Oats

After picking this gladiola from our garden, I noticed
the colors appear vibrant on our studio wall.
I focused on the two largest blossoms taking note
of color, shapes and angles as I worked. It wasn't
until completion that it became apparent that
these blossoms have attitude.

This was painted from life on a 7x5'' pre-gessoed white Panel with wet into wet oil paint.

  1. Glads are celebs in my garden-you paint them so beautifully!

  2. I am a student, I joined the blog to make friends with the lava away from the liver around the world. I want to learn many things about the country, people, life, culture ... of your country.
