This is a scene I painted after visiting the Eel River early one Spring morning near Garberville, California. It was a beautiful clear day, and the reflections of the Redwoods growing close to the water's edge created beautiful dark shapes with hints of sunlight filtering through the trees.
The painting measures 8 x 10, and is done on canvas covered panel. SOLD
love the palette!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Kathy! You captured that early light that is so familiar. Really, really lovely. I was too slow with the 'bid' button and I'm glad to see you sold this piece.
