Another late afternoon sun shining on grasses, hills and trees. The rural areas of California continue to offer me a wealth of possible combinations of color, light and shadow. This old Oak, twisted to one side caught my eye providing a contrast to the light on the hills and trees behind. Taking some artistic license with the value contrasts and the warm colors made it just fun to paint. This painting measures 8 x 10 and is done on canvas covered panel. SOLD
