SPRING SKIES-SAN LUIS OBISPO, Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

Painting with the California Art Club at San Luis Obispo's preserved lands this past Spring, it was hard to find the sun between the clouds and rain showers for the first couple of days. I found this scene just north of town next to some beautiful oak covered hills and set up to paint it as quickly as I could. I like the simplicity of the scene. The light was beautiful. It was the sky that I was most taken with - the sun reflecting off the top of the clouds and the blue sky peeking through. This painting is 9 x 12 on canvas covered panel. SOLD
