'The Grass Is Always Greener' by RK Schlueter
Oil on 6" panel. Portrait Noir has always been a favorite of mine, the visual impact of mysterious characters in sketchy settings fuels my imagination and it's really fun to paint.
Your character is up close and very personal, the head covering 'touchable' but I think the eyes belie such a distant focus, mirrored in the drama of the somber hues. Lovely painting.
