Rooster at the Crossroads by RK Schlueter



















Oil on 8"x8" gallery wrap canvas with 2" sides painted cerulean blue. Painted alla prima. This rooster image is from my personal stock photos. I have many local sources for photographing Roosters and buying fresh eggs and I don't even have to leave Eureka in fact I can easily go on mare shanks (on foot)

  3. wonderful pose - & poise! this guy owns the earth he's standing on, fer shure! i really like how you've done the background, and the red/yellowgreen contrast - a fun painting! (wish i'd'a taken photos back when i was raising chickens & ducks . . . !)
