"FLORAL IN PAL-BELL VASE by Alicia Tredway

I often turn to flowers in winter for painting. The artificial ones made now are beautiful and serve me well. This antique vase was a lucky find for me at the thrift store. This painting measuring 8 x 6 inches oil on canvas panel was done alla prima from a studio setup. For more information or to bid PRESS HERE SOLD

  2. Like the vantage point you chose combined with the lively feel
of the flowers that makes them feel freshly cut.

  3. This will probably sound strange, but I really like the sense of movement I feel in this still life!
I'm beginning to appreciate painting florals and may follow your lead and paint flowers, real and silk, this winter.

  4. The brushwork and colors feel so natural and spontaneous in this still life. It is hard to know when to stop sometimes, but you have a great feel for it!
