"SUMMER VINES' Oil paintng by Kathy O'Leary

I love painting the vineyards of the Napa Valley and surrounding regions. There is often a lot of 'atmosphere' in the vineyards due to the moist conditions created by the intense planting and growing environment. The quality of this atmosphere provides a wonderful soft light, producing subtly rich shadows, interesting colors and a feeling of distance surrounding the vines. This painting is intended to reflect some of those qualities. The painting is 9 x 12 on linen covered panel. SOLD

  2. Your grape leaves are painted so painterly and yet are recognizable
    as grape leaves. Beautiful.
