Little Doll by Frances Kuta

I've painted this little doll a couple times....this time I posed her so she would be "looking" right at me. Even though she is just a doll I felt as if she were coming to life as I sat there and painted her....it was a strange experience...but fun! 12" x 9" oil on canvas Raymar panel CLICK HERE if you would like to bid on this painting.

  1. I usually don't "like" paintings with dolls as the subject, but this is the exception. Beautiful shadows on her little porcelain face. She makes me want to play tea party with her!

  2. What a wonderful intimacy you've created between the doll
and the viewer. Love the way you painted her eyes, the slight
lean in her posture, harmonious soft colors, the up-close view.
Inspires within me an affection for the doll and the painting.
