This little sketch is taken from a photo I took at Devils Punch Bowl State Park just north of Newport, Oregon. We went on a week long trip up the Oregon coast a while back. And naturally the day we drove up was the only sunny day we had the whole week. I like to paint rocks, especially in the surf. It can get a bit tricky, taking dark rock and conveying the idea of sunlight warming it's surface. This painting is 6 X 8 matted in a 9 X 12 walnut frame. Shipping is free. Opening bid is $150.
