Hauser Marsh Arcata Wildlife Sanctuary oil painting by Andrew Daniel

On this day the afternoon winds were coming hard off of the ocean. I had to hold my easel with one hand to keep it from tipping over, with my other hand I struggled to mix paint, keep my hat on, stop the panel from flying off the easel and make wild attempts at capturing the scene. I've always enjoyed looking at the painting, because of the process that went into it. I was so busy coping with the elements that the painting has a bare bones immediacy to it. There was no time to over think things!

This is an oil painting on Baltic Birch panel signed by me, Andrew Daniel. The canvas measures 9" x 12" (23cm x 30cm).To purchase this piece, please check out my online shop.
