This particular scene is indicative of Southern Humboldt. When you drive up into the mountains east of Garberville towards Alderpoint, the view just opens up for miles and miles. This is the driveway of a friend that lives up there. I have painted many scenes from her home. And now that summer has arrived again, I’m sure more will be produced from there.
