'Roses in Orange' and White by Theresa Oats

After choosing roses of different types and colors to inspire compositional possibilities and color harmonies, I placed them under the skylight in my studio and painted  'alla prima' in oils (on a prepared wood panel) while keeping their vivacious combination of shapes and translucent color in mind.
I signed the painting on the lower left corner after this photo was taken.
