"Summer Thunder Heads" by Jim McVicker

This seems a fitting piece since we have had some thunder storms this summer. I often try to paint the effects on a small surface of the wonderful and sometimes dramatic skies we have on the north coast. Working on a small scale one can try to capture the effects in a relatively short time frame. They don't always work but, I think this one did.   Oil on panel  9x12
