Well, so much for my experiment in oils. I think I prefer pastels. This particular painting is an older one that I did for the holiday season a couple of years back. I’m not real familiar working with snow scenes so I thought I’d give it a try and this is one of the results. It is a scene up near a friends place in Oregon. We were there just after a snow storm and it was most beautiful. And also a challenge when one is working with a scene not very common at the 500 foot level. We don’t get much snow here so the opportunity to paint it on site is relatively rare. This is a 9 X 12 matted and framed in a black wood matte frame 11 X 14. To bid, CLICK HERE.
