'Cliff Light' pastel, by Ralphie Hendrix

 

When you visit Redway Beach and are looking across the river at the huge cliff face that’s looking at you, off to the side where the cliff is easing down to the banks of the river, you will see an old Madrone tree. As long as I have been visiting this spot, that old Madrone tree has been hanging by it’s roots to the cliff face. I finally painted it after many many years.
