'Rose with Large Green Leaves' by Theresa Oats

After placing this rose in a small brass vase I plucked 3 leaves from a wild plant in our pasture and placed them in a smaller vase below the rose.  I loved the color harmonies and the rose's transitional warm tones so I painted them on a 6x6 canvas panel.
This will be featured in a show of my work at the Sewell Gallery on F Street in Eureka for the month of May.
