Four Westerlands by Theresa Oats

Our Westerland rose bush blossomed next to our studio wall.  These roses are unpredictable in the shapes and even the colors their petals become.  Their shapes change daily and each blossom is different in tones and hue.
I set my easel up outside and painted in oils on a 12x9 prepared panel.  I 'll exhibit this work in a local show sometime this year.

  1. such lovely color harmony and luscious brushwork with little surprise colors that keeps me looking and looking. Beautiful painting, Terry.
