A friend gave us the gift of a 'cannes' plant about 15 years ago. It put out a small reddish blossom about 7 years ago, and mysteriously produced a large orange blossom and 2 smaller ones this year.
I painted this in our garden with oils on a 16x12 linen on panel. I will be placing this in a show at Umpqua Bank in Arcata this November.
