'Cannas Flower - Hlgh Noon' by Theresa Oats


A friend gave us a cannas bulb for our garden.  It took several years to flower and was worth the wait.
I set my easel up in the garden very close to the flower and proceeded to capture in oils the vibrant colors of the sun soaked petals.
This painting is 8x12 inches and is being shown at an exhibit of my work at Umpqua Bank in Arcata until the 27th of November.
