This spring we had the opportunity to paint in Claremont in California. In the early morning I painted this view of the park at Claremont College. These sycamore trees are wonderful subjects. The older they are the more the branches stretch out into the surrounding space, twisting in the process. I painted with oils on a prepared 12x9'' panel and plan to show this work at the Sewell Gallery in June.
