Painting and drawing the portrait well, has been a goal of mine since childhood. Recently I realized I need a new more comprehensive approach if I expect to grow. I started by drawing with charcoal and pencils and watching people teach on Youtube. I began to understand planes and anatomy better, also I've limited my palette to just a couple colors. This portrait is being painted with burnt umber, burnt sienna, dioxazine purple and naples yellow.
