'The Virgin River' by Theresa Oats

In the month of June my husband Jim and I painted at Zion National Park.  Early in the morning I'd make my way to the Virgin River, set up at the shoreline and begin working.  The water there is pure and appears green where it is deepest.   The area was quiet and peaceful, all you hear is the water making its way over and around the rocks.
This painting is 12x16 and will be shown at the Sewell Gallery for the month of December.

  3. Terry, this is extraordinary. You've captured the movement and translucency of the water perfectly. Well done!
