Painted on location during a recent visit to South Eastern Oregon near Steens Mountain. Beautiful high desert country, lots of wildlife, including wild mustang horses. Most ranches in this region have been in the same family for generations. I loved this simple scene soaked by the late afternoon sun. This piece is 9 x 12, oil on panel.
