BLACK OAK CHORUS LINE By Kathy O'Leary
A new painting of Black Oaks in Autumn from a scene in the hills East of Eureka CA. Learning about oaks, I find the Black Oak, found in many regions of California is one of my favorites. It's deciduous, and the leaves turn a rusty gold color in fall, and new Spring leaves are first pink then chartreuse before they fully leaf out. This painting, oil on linen panel, 12" x 24", can be seen in a new Spring Exhibit of the Redwood Arts Association (RAA).
