When Calla Lillies come into season (usually March) I need to paint them. They have a beautiful sculptural shape with such subtle delicacy of shadow and color its always a challenge. To keep within the almost square format, I needed to set up the still life looking down on these long necked flowers - so the vase sits on a kilim rug on my studio floor. Done in oil on a primed masonite panel, this piece measures 8 x 10. SOLD
