Winter on the Truckee River
by Andrew Daniel 8" x 10" (20cm x 25cm)

I chose to paint this piece, because I liked the circular shape of the dark river against the white snow. Also it was a new challenge trying to get the speckled textures of the plants poking through the snow on the hillside in the background.

    Looking at your painting I admire and enjoy that you have
    created a sense of "cold" which goes further than the
    fact it's a painting of a snowy landscape.
