"Downriver From Benbow", original pastel by Ralphie Hendrix
A bunch of artists in Southern Humboldt got together to paint outside a few times this summer. This view is at Benbow State Park, looking down river from the picnic tables. Tho the “lake” doesn’t exist anymore, the area is still quite lovely and serene. This painting is 7 X 5, matted and set in a 10 X 8 cherry wood frame. To bid, CLICK HERE.

I love your painting Ralphie. The strong vertical with the well
ReplyDeleteplaced horizontals. I don't know if you did it on purpose but
my minds eye sees shapes that resemble animals known to
inhabit the area. Any way I love your shapes within shapes.
You really nailed the place, Ralphie. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful contrast between the cool side and warm side Ralphie! Nice!
