8 x 8 inches oil on canvas panel. Painted from an old vintage photograph. Since it's the river close to my place I had special interest. I obtained permission to use the photo from Diane Hawk who wrote 'A Glance Back' .....Northern Mendocino County History.

ReplyDeleteSuch a great subject! I have often thought it would be a fun project to breath some colorful life into old black and whites from the region. This one has a sense of immediacy, like the fisherman is staring back at us through the ages...
