"Fishing Boats" by Jim McVicker
I started going up to the boat basin in the afternoons this week to paint the boats. It's been awhile since I've painted boats and it always seems awkward at first. All these great shapes, forms and color, no lands, hills and trees. I like the stimulation and challenge. This is the first one I painted.

This is a great piece Jim,the front boat really draws the eye into the painting. Even with simplification, you still show great detail, allowing the eye to do the work.
