'Bath' pastel by Ralphie Hendrix
My daughter had this wonderful Australian Sheep dog named Yater. He was the absolute best dog in the universe. And here we see my granddaughter giving him a bath which was the most awful deed in the world ever perpetrated on a poor dog. He would fight you until the first drops hit, then he would resign himself to the duration. I didn’t quite paint this one as good as I thought I could. But I did catch the resignation on his face.

It's a real beauty! You capture a intimate moment with great sensitivity. I see a natural resignation in the dog and a compassion in your granddaughter.
