'Coastal Path' pastel by Ralphie Hendrix

This actually isn’t a path. Sometimes while I’m painting, step away and when I come back, the painting will show me a path. It always works when I follow that path. This particular piece of landscape is down near Monterey Bay. We were on one of Virgil’s golfing trips down to Pebble Beach. A lot of people live down there but you can still find wonderful moments and subjects to paint.
