'Sunset on Sea Stacks' by Theresa Oats



During the last light of the day I painted these Trinidad sea stacks with oils on a 9x12'' linen covered panel.  The rich colors seemed magical and calming at the same time.
 A number of my paintings including this piece will be featured in a one person show at Umpqua Bank in Arcata from November 6 to the 28th.  The opening will be Friday evening the 8th.  I'll keep you posted concerning the time.

    Reminds me of one of the Canadian Seven's works. Rockwell Kent, perhaps. Even a bit like Ingrid Nickelsen. But definitely an authentic Terry Oats piece, and I love it, Terry! Love the colors and the mood.
