I stood in the tall weeds along the side of the road for a few mornings last month. Nothing like having friends honk at you as they fly by at 55 miles an hour to stimulate ones creativity! It wasn't hard to find another foggy day to work on this piece with similar light, so I was able to get out several times.

This piece is going to be in a show dedicated to the theme of the Humboldt Bay at the First Street Gallery in October. Some of our Lost Coast Daily Painters will be represented in the show. Besides myself, there will be bay landscapes from Stock Schlueter, Kathy O'Leary and Mimi Laplant in the back gallery. In the front Gallery Cindy Hooper will have 6 video installations. I know there is also a ceramicist building a large scale model of the bay and a photographer who also is dealing with bay issues.


The opening will be on Saturday October 4th during Arts Alive! from 6-9pm.
