The process is the fun thing, following creative impulses is all. The stencils chosen are not my designs, but taken from stencil books. Using stencils gives me immediate gratification and satisfies an urge to meld abstract gesture with representational form. Transforming old work into new work makes good sense to me now. Connecting with other artists through the merging of energies used to make the artwork is very exciting, though I will never meet most of them, we have a connection through the artwork.
