Painted on location, this painting reflects the kind of Winter light surrounding the agricultural lands of Loleta, California.  Traditionally a dairy and beef cattle region, Loleta has deep historical roots in the early settlements of Humboldt County. Still dotted with dairies, cattle ranches, lots of old barns and great old cypress and eucalyptus trees there are always beautiful and interesting landscapes to paint.
