This is my granddaughter who was visiting for a month.  She is young and beautiful and a very convenient model. I've always admired the Scandinavian painter Hammershoi who painted women from the back like this with emphasis on the beauty of her neck and the quietness of the room.  Oil on canvas 24 x 30.  This piece will be in my show at Piante in June.  Judy Evenson and I will be showing together.
