A GROUP OF ARTISTS PAINTING ON CALIFORNIA'S NORTH COAST.
Wow! Has everyone been to Wyoming but me? Beautiful.
Because there's no marine influence, the light is more intense and saturated. The air is so clear that in order to make the Grand Tetons look like they are in the distance in a painting, I was told in a workshop to add "atmospheric perspective", though there was none to be seen, even almost 15 miles from the mountains. It's a real different environment for our coastal California eyes and fun to paint.
