This painting was done after a trip to Carmel and Pacific Grove California. The beaches at Carmel are stunningly beautiful with white sand dunes edged by colorful shrubby plants and tall Coastal Pines, Cypress, and Eucalyptus trees. The Eucalyptus in bright afternoon sun offered striking shapes of light and shadow against the low bushes and the blues of the hills and sky behind them.
This piece is 8 x 10, on canvas covered panel.
