This painting features boats docked at the Wharfinger Marina, on Humboldt Bay in Eureka. It's painted from a photograph I took late on a winter afternoon, on a day that started out as one of those dreary northcoast days with a solid, low cloud cover and no hope of any light. I went for a walk to the marina late in the afternoon and captured this brief sighting of the sun.
