Several years ago we purchased a rose bush from
Fickle Hill Old Rose nursery in Arcata and planted it
next to our studio building. Now full blossoms are
appearing all over the outside wall. I clipped one, placed it in a burnished brass vase and painted it over the past several days in my studio. It is painted in oils on a 7x5 inch pre-gessoed panel for maximum luminosity.
