I painted this on location (en plein air) one morning from an overlook of what the locals of Palos Verdes, California, called the
Burma Road Trail. It was covered with 8 - 10 foot high wild mustard, and the morning sun rising on the left made the hills glow with yellows and greens. Although a dry weedy fire hazard in the Summer, the Spring's blooming mustard and the beautiful coastal views attracted hundreds of morning hikers and dog walkers along this trail. This painting measures 8 x 10, and is done on canvas covered wood panel.
