Outside the Shanty, oil by RK Schlueter

Oil on 10x12" panel. This Painting is based on a photo I took of a young man standing outside the Shanty saloon having a smoke, the light was perfect and the graphics, stunning. Eureka's local color offers exactly what I love in Urban landscape, it's all very real.

  2. Hi Rachel, I admire how skillfully
you've employed design, subject, color, and even what feels like each and every brushstroke to accomplish the inescapable mood of this
    strong painting!

  3. thank you, Terry! this was a fun one to paint, more so because I had painted it once before and could kind of run with it.

Dusty Pines, thank you for visiting!
