"RANCH TRACK AND LUPINE FIELDS", Oil painting by Kathy O'Leary

This piece was painted from a trip I took through the Central California ranch and hill country this past Spring. Everywhere I looked were multiple shades of green and vast stretches of wild flowers in bloom. This particular scene caught my eye because a track ran through the field of Lupine and led the eye back to the trees and hills in the distance. A perfect compositional element for the painter.
