"SPRING MORNING IN COASTAL LIGHT", Oil Painting by Kathy O'Leary

This is a scene from my paint out with other California Art Club members this past Spring, in San Luis Obispo. Painted on location, I tried to capture the softness and vibrancy, of the new green growth, wild flowers, and violet of last year's grasses under moist and overcast skies. It was cold and damp, but so beautiful. I find the California coastal areas particularly interesting in the Spring. Coming from the far North Coast, I enjoyed the opportunity to see more of California's central and southern coastal regions during that time of year. This painting measures 8 x 10, and is done on canvas covered panel. SOLD
