Fire Escape by Theresa Oats

During wild fires in our mountains and forests I wonder how the animals are faring,
wether they're separated from mates and young, if they're able to escape disaster.
I started this painting during our most recent fires and put the finishing touches on
after hearing about the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

I painted this with oils on an 18x11 prepared panel. For more information or if you're

  1. Terry, before i read it , i saw the goldfish swimming around the golden green kelp. Its a good sign when everyone can see something different in a painting . beautiful color !
