"Beets" oil painting by Andrew Daniel

"Beets" oil painting by Andrew Daniel
14" x 8" (35cm x 20cm)

I painted these beets because I liked the rich colors and the strong curves. As I worked and reworked the painting I learned a lot about thick wet on wet paint application. It was exciting to see the image emerge from so many smudges of thick paint blending together!

  1. especially nice job on the red and green of the leaves. I did a painting so similar on a horizontal format. I really like this painting, Andrew.
